From intern to training coordinator for Alsu Rubinskaya, Magnetic Training was one of her first work experiences, which soon turned into a full-time role. With no prior experience in aviation, she hit the ground running and hasn't looked back since. Now, as a coordinator role, Alsu is at the heart of managing and organizing training sessions—handling everything encompassing communications and documentation and contributing to the brand's marketing activities. Get to know her story in the interview below.

How did you start your career journey with Magnetic?

Alsu: I began my career at Magnetic Training through an internship, eventually leading to a full-time role. Coming from a background that was not related to the aviation industry, I found the transition challenging at first. However, this also allowed me to dive into the field quickly, learn from my experienced colleagues, and gain practical experience.

What are the main responsibilities in your role?

Alsu: I am primarily responsible for managing and organizing our training courses, from handling inbound communications to ensuring the smooth delivery of both in-person and remote sessions. I work closely with instructors and participants to facilitate effective training, administer activities within our Learning Management System, and invigilate exams.

Moreover, I manage all aspects of training documentation, including certificates, agreements, and invoices, while aiming to ensure positive customer experiences. I also participate in marketing activities with the marketing team, collectively participating in various Magnetic Training brand efforts.

What are the main challenges you face at your work? How do you tackle them?

Alsu: One of the biggest challenges I face is managing the broad range of tasks I handle simultaneously, encompassing organizing training sessions, managing communication streams, and overseeing documentation. This requires constant multitasking, which can sometimes be overwhelming. To tackle this, I focus on careful planning and strict prioritization.

What is your biggest achievement so far?

Alsu: While I’m still in the early stages of my career, I recently achieved a significant personal milestone by graduating from university. This accomplishment required a lot of dedication and discipline, which I’m proud of. At work, I’m continuously learning and building on my experience, and I see every successful training session or project as a step towards bigger achievements in the future.

What do you enjoy the most about your work?

Alsu: I genuinely enjoy working with an international team. It brings diverse perspectives and creates a dynamic work environment. I also appreciate that my role involves a variety of tasks. It's never a routine of doing the same tasks every day, which keeps things interesting. With so many different responsibilities, I stay engaged and never get bored—a key aspect for me since I can get bored when things become too repetitive.
