Tallinn, Estonia - Magnetic MRO, a global total technical care and asset management organisation, has completed its first heavy maintenance check of an A320neo aircraft for a major client. The new generation A320neo aircraft with Leap-1A engines underwent a 24-month check in Magnetic MRO’s main hangar in Tallinn, Estonia. The routine check provided valuable experience to work on the LEAP-1A engines with OEM representatives present and helped to gain relevant knowledge for future checks. Maintenance on the aircraft was completed on time and returned to the customer. “It’s a remarkable moment for Magnetic MRO as the first Airbus A320neo aircraft marks the beginning of a new era in our hangars,” noted Risto Mäeots, CEO of Magnetic MRO. “The client is our long lasting partner, and we are looking forward to continue this partnership with the A320neo aircraft for years to come. In the beginning of the year, Magnetic MRO signed a contract with major client to become their heavy maintenance partner for their A320neo fleet. The completed check was the first of a total of 23, all taking place between Autumn 2018 and Winter 2020.
