3 Questions with Filip Stanisic
At the start of the new era for the team, Head of Magnetic Engines, Filip Stanisic, has shared a few of his expert insights on our #3QuestionsWith feature. Check it out to learn about how the engine department has been doing lately - and also what's Filip's favorite motto!
How would you describe last year from Magnetic Engines perspective?
2020 started strongly with a very realistic sales pipeline and plan for achieving all the set goals, but with the COVID-19 pandemic, the situation became much more complicated as of March 2020.
However, even if it has hurt us a lot, it also forced us to adapt. Engine material trading and engine leasing suffered the most as planes were grounded. A limited number of heavy engine repairs were performed around the world, which in total used little material. Engines were simply not needed, and this impacted material trading. But then there was also signs of recovery already at the end of the year – so we look into this year with optimism – and with plenty of news from our department!
How many different checks and repairs Magnetic Engines team has performed last year?
Although it was a “slower” year, we still managed to keep ourselves busy: over the last year: for example, the team has performed 30 borescope inspections and 8 top cases repairs. We serviced over 50 engines last year – and ready to serve even more in 2021.
What motto do you like to use in challenging times?
Shoot for the Moon. Even if you miss, you’ll land among the stars. And we will continue to do so.
